FD 18 LF
Protection cover made of steel sheet for DL 18/1 and DL 18/2. The enlarged volume betters the sound of inserted speakers compared with FD 18 F. The FD 18 LF is equipped with an integrated fail-safe mechanism which ensures that a burnout in one loudspeaker does not lead to a failure in the entire system of connected speakers. The upper side of the protection cover is equipped with ceramic terminals. Cable clamps ensure the incoming cables of 8, 12 or 16mm diameter are firmly held. A second terminal enables the wiring to be looped through to the next speaker. At the upper side the protection cover is equipped with a thermal fuse and a heat-resistant high-temperature wiring so that it conforms to both Dutch (NEN 2575) and British (BS 5839) regulations for alarm systems.
Unsuitable for fire protection ceilings (F30). Fire protection housing systems (FlamoX) are available from KAISER, 58579 Schalksmühle, Germany. The enlarged volume betters the sound of inserted speakers.
