Ferrofluid

Ferrofluid is a magnetically conductive fluid which is inserted in the air gap in medium-rang speakers and tweeters. This improves the flow of the magnetic field and, at the same time, cools the voice coil. See Proficlub 12/94 "Ferrofluid in Lautsprechern".
