Below we would like to explain to you how your personal data are collected and processed by us. Personal data means all data linked specifically to you, e.g. name, address, email addresses. Our aim here is to explain our methods to you as transparently as possible. If you have any questions, please contact the individuals listed below.

2. What data are processed and for what purpose?
We collect and process personal data to enable us to respond to enquiries from prospects and customers. We also require personal data for managing contracts, orders and precontractual activities. In addition, we use the data to inform customers and prospects about our range of products and the services provided by our company.
In detail, this means:
A. When you visit our website
The following data are automatically logged when you access our website:
- Websites (referring websites) from which the visitor's system accessed our website
- The IP address of the visitor to our site
- Date and time of access
- The amount of data transmitted
- Access status (file transferred, file not found etc.)
- Information about the type of browser and the browser version used by the visitor
- The visitor's operating system
Processing this data enables us to deliver the contents of our website, ensure the functionality of our systems and maintain data security. The automatically created log files are erased once a year.
If you use our contact form, the data you enter in the form will be stored.
If you use our online shop, the data you enter in the form to enable your order to be processed will be stored.
If you register on our forum, we will only store the required data you have entered on the registration form. Any additional details entered are voluntary and may be changed at any time (they can be deleted or modified under "Settings" on the German forum page). If you deregister from the forum (by means of a written message by you), your member details will be deleted and any contributions you have posted anonymised.
The corresponding data are deleted once storage is no longer required unless a statutory archiving period stipulates that further storage is necessary.
Cookies
When you visit our website, we use cookies to enable certain functions. These are small text files that are stored locally on your computer in your browser history. Some cookies are necessary to allow us to provide technical functionality of our website and are always used. Other cookies, which are used for statistical and analytical purposes, are only stored on your computer with your prior consent. We generally do not store cookies that could be used for marketing purposes or for personalised settings.
Required cookies are of fundamental technical importance for the functioning of our website and also enable security-relevant functionality.
Our statistical cookies collect anonymous information about how our website is used. In order continuously to improve our website and the products and services we offer, we collect anonymous data for statistical and analytical purposes. These cookies do not store any information that would allow a visitor to the website to be personally identified.
Analytical services
If you have consented to our storing statistical cookies, the website uses the MATOMO web analysis tool that collects data for statistical and analytical purposes. The data are used by us to develop the offers provided on the website in line with customers' interests. To this end, the user information stored in the cookies is transferred to the server where it is stored and analysed. The IP address of the user is immediately anonymised to prevent any identification of the visitor.
B. Making contact through other communication channels
These include telephone, letters, emails, personal contact etc. In these cases we will also require certain personal data from you to enable us to deal with and respond to your query. Where you provide these details to us, they will be stored in a database to allow us to fulfil the purpose for which they were provided (e.g. send you a catalogue, process an order etc.).
These data are deleted once storage is no longer required unless a statutory archiving period stipulates that further storage is necessary.
C. Additional data
In addition, we process data that are accessible through publicly available sources or from third parties (e.g. credit rating agencies) where this is in connection with a contract, precontractual activities or to guard legitimate interests (as defined in GDPR Article 6(1) a-f) e.g. creditworthiness, payment details etc.
If you have also granted us consent (as defined in GDPR Article 6(1) a)) allowing us to process your personal data for additional purposes, we will only use them in the context for which they were provided. Withdrawal of consent (partially or completely) is possible at any time.
3. Who has access to the data? Are data transmitted to third parties?
Our employees who have access to personal data are obliged to adhere to the provisions in the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and confidentiality principles.
Transfer to third parties is exclusively as part of the performance of a contract or precontractual activities (as defined in GDPR Article 6(1) b), c)). These third parties may be, amongst others, freight forwarders, parcels services, courier services etc.
In conjunction with the purposes of legitimate interests (as defined in GDPR Article 6(1) f)), we process data or transmit them to third parties where this is necessary. This may include e.g. creditworthiness checks through credit agencies, filing legal claims through debt-collection agencies etc.
In certain cases, we are required by law to transmit data to state organisations and authorities (as defined in GDPR Article 6(1) c), d), e)).
Apart from that, we will not transmit your data to any third parties unless we have received your consent (as defined in GDPR Article 6(1) a)).
4. What rights do you have?
According to GDPR Articles 13 – 21, you have the following rights:
- You are entitled to request information relating to the personal data about you that is stored
- You are entitled to rectification of inaccurate personal data
- You are entitled to erasure of personal data
- You have the right to obtain restriction of processing of the personal data
- You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data
- You have the right to data portability of your personal data
- You have the right to withdraw consent already given or require restriction of that consent for certain purposes
- You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with GDPR Article 77.
Our websites may contain links to other websites maintained by third-party enterprises to which this privacy statement does not extend.
