DL 18/2 8 OHM

17 cm (6.5") HiFi-ceiling speaker with corrosion free grille, suitable for the installation in suspended ceilings of any material. Equipped with a 2-way coaxial driver. Quick snap-in mounting due to round ceiling cut-out through which the speaker with mounting ring can be installed. A quick-mounting bayonet connection provides an easy installation of the grille. DL 18/2 can be supplied painted in other RAL colours on request. Speaker cabinet systems for ceilings are available for these speakers from KAISER, 58579 Schalksmühle, Germany. The KompaX cabinet is suitable for the DL 18/1 and DL 18/2, Art. nos. 1293-15, 1293-00, 1292-35, 1292-00, 1294-15 and 1294-00 in conjunction with the front ring Art. no. 1293-20. Fire protection housing systems (F30) are available (FlamoX). Typical applications: For fitting in hollow ceilings, for music and speech in shops, at home, hotels etc. Attributes: Moisturised cone UV-resistant Metal basket, non-corrodible functionally at low temperature according to EN 60068-2-1 (-40 °C; 96 h) up to the standards of the Germanischer Lloyd (requirements for electrical equipment / low temperature)

FD 18 F

Protection cover made of steel sheet for DL18/1 and DL18/2. The enlarged volume betters the sound of inserted speakers. The FD 18 F is equipped with an integrated fail-safe mechanism which ensures that a burnout in one loudspeaker does not lead to a failure in the entire system of connected speakers. The upper side of the protection cover is equipped with ceramic terminals. Cable clamps ensure the incoming cables of 8, 12 or 16mm diameter are firmly held. A second terminal enables the wiring to be looped through to the next speaker. At the upper side the protection cover is equipped with a thermal fuse and a heat-resistant high-temperature wiring so that it conforms to both Dutch (NEN 2575) and British (BS 5839) regulations for alarm systems. Unsuitable for fire protection ceilings (F30). Fire protection housing systems (FlamoX) are available from KAISER, 58579 Schalksmühle, Germany.
