If the speakers are likely to be transported frequently and in order to reduce resonance, it is advisable to make the cabinets out of multilayer board with a thickness of 22 mm. This will make the cabinets very resilient, even to rough jolts. The ideal surface finish is a scratch-resistant texture paint or you can glue carpeting to them. The drawing shows terminal block ST 77. However, a mounting plate with Speakon connectors is far more professional. As one would expect, carrying handles in the side walls or castors are an essential aid if the cabinets are frequently transported. The acoustic baffle is moved 50 mm back, in order to protect the driver. Additionally, a grille can also be fitted to the subwoofer (the grille and other accessories mentioned are all available in musician‘s shops).
