Room acoustics

Due to its building materials, size and shape, the kind of wall covering and the furnishings, every room generates its own acoustic characteristics and influences the sound produced in it. Sound waves spread around the room, bounce off walls, ceilings and objects, are reflected several times and absorbed until they finally fade away. The perception of the sound depends on both the direct sound and the indirect or reflected sound. The room may influence the sound to such an extent that the remaining acoustic problems fade into insignificance.
