THX® 4.0

THX® is a standard developed by Lucas Film for authentic cinema sound effects. The 4.0 at the end means that this version is a specification for Dolby® Surround Prologic systems where there are 4 signal channels but no woofer channel. THX® 4.1 then would mean: 4 channels plus 1 woofer channel.
