K 50 WPT - 8 Ohm

5 cm (2") miniature speaker with a plastic basket and plastic diaphragm. Broad frequency response and good voice reproduction. Particularly well suited to outdoor applications and where ambient conditions are generally unfavourable (e.g. high humidity). Version with different orientation of the terminals: see K 50 WP - 8 Ohm

*) IP protection class for front side when built into a sealed enclosure

DL 8 ES - 8 Ohm

8 cm (3.3") ceiling-mounted speaker made of stainless steel with brushed finish. Suitable for use in all types of hollow ceilings. Easy fitting in round cut-out using spring arms, electrical connection by spring-loaded terminal clips. A compact solution for home and professional use with good sound qualities.

Speaker cabinet systems for concrete ceilings are available from KAISER, 58579 Schalksmühle, Germany. The KompaX cabinet series is suitable for our ceiling speakers. Some additional front parts maybe necessary (front rings, mineral fibreboard etc.). More details are available on the Homepage of KAISER (Housing for lamps and loudspeakers). In order to get more detailed information, press the "Technical information" button of the particular product. Fire protection housing systems (F30) are also available (FlamoX).

*) IP protection class for front side when built into a sealed enclosure

FR 58 - 8 Ohm

5.8 cm (2.3") full-range speaker with coated paper cone, rubber surround, squared metal basket with 4 mounting holes and rubber gasket. Very linear and wide frequency response and low resonant frequency provide a wide range of apllications, including Hi-Fi-applications.

DPS 40 F - 100 V (RAL 5022)

Art. No. 50290

The DPS 40 F - 100 V dipole flat-panel loudspeaker has been developed and optimised specifically for applications in the open-air with limited adjoining reflecting surfaces (such as ceilings). It focuses the sound to a great extent in a horizontal direction, so neighbours or adjacent station platforms only receive much reduced signals than would be the case with classic horn speakers. Sound field simulations coupled with measurements under real-life field conditions demonstrate that there is a difference in the level of interference noise to the sides of the platform of 6 to 8 dB in favour of dipole flat-panel speakers. At the same time, their efficiency is considerably higher, which means that typical horn speakers would require eight times the amplifier output to achieve the same sound pressure on a railway platform. Versions: Models with one side closed e.g. for use at the ends of platforms. DPS 40 F-GR - 100 V (closed at the right side) DPS 40 F-GL - 100 V (closed at the left side) Railway station PA speakers A key objective of public address systems in railway stations is to ensure that every message relating to railway operation and in emergencies is clearly audible to all travellers at the target location in the station. DIN EN 60268-16 sets ambitious standards for speech intelligibility because the acoustic environment on railway platforms is a difficult one. Trains arriving and leaving generate very loud ambient noises and require the loudspeakers to have a correspondingly high loudness level Announcements on adjacent platforms make other announcements unintelligible unless the sound is properly and effectively restricted to the required target area Sound reverberating from the sound-reflecting ceilings and walls in enclosed station buildings generates interference noise that makes the announcement hard to understand. The passive train station loudspeakers made by VISATON will, however, allow the required speech intelligibility to be achieved, despite the difficult surroundings. These speakers are dipole flat-panel speakers, and provide the required high levels of sound pressure while focussing the sound they produce more accurately than classic speaker systems. A dipole speaker works by creating air movement (as sound pressure waves) directly from the front and back surfaces of the driver, while the amount of sound emitted to the sides, up and down is much reduced. An arrangement of several loudspeakers in line or in a single plane results in an even more closely focussed sound image. By combining these two principles, VISATON has achieved a targeted improvement in the polar characteristics of loudspeaker systems. Thanks to this principle, the platform in front of and behind the loudspeaker is addressed and the adjacent platforms hardly hear any of it. The sound also hardly reaches the ceiling and floor so interfering reverberations that would reduce speech intelligibility are reduced.Connection (100 V) + / - Red / Black 10 W Yellow / Black 6 W White / Black 3 W

5 cm (2") miniature speaker with plastic diaphragm (Mylar). Very compact design. Good speech reproduction. Differences to K 50 FL - 8 Ohm: Higher resonance frequency Higher mean sound pressure level Adjusted frequency response *) IP protection class for front side when built into a sealed enclosure

EX 60 S - 4 Ohm

Electro dynamical exciter for stimulating bending waves on plates. The unit can be attached to the surface of the plate by gluing or screwing. Please find further information on exciters here: Basic principles of exciter-technology (PDF; 388 KB) *) Maximum long term power according to DIN EN 60268-5

FR 4x6 X - 4 Ohm

9 x 15 cm (4" x 6") full-range driver with tweeter cone. Wide and balanced frequency response. Well suited for speech and music.

K 28.40 - 8 Ohm

2.8 x 4.0 cm (1.1" x 1.6") miniature speaker with paper cone and rectangular plastic basket. Small dimensions due to neodymium magnet. The excellent interaction between the different components achieves a very linear frequency response. Connection via soldering points on rear side.
